Description

Lipola is a 2D local multiplayer game about consideration, cooperation and the relationship with each other, exclusive for the iPad. Each of the two player control a character, each character trapped in its own world. Their goal is to bring them back together and to break through the seperated worlds. Players control the character with only one finger. The point of touch is connected to the characters like a lifeline. If the player moves their finger across the surface, not only the touch points will follow, but also the characters, connected by this lifeline.

History

Lipola was first prototyped at the „Animationsinstitut“ at the „Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg“ in Ludwigsburg, Germany. With a team of 2-3 students the project was realized within 4-5 month. Our goal was to create a game that puts the focus on playing together and cooperation above anything else.

Features

  • A simple and clean design
  • Cooperative gameplay is inside the game and outside of it
  • A simple One-Finger-Touch control scheme
  • A game that is a perfect ice breaker
